Banner Health Clinic specializing in palliative medicine, neurology and endocrinology in Northern Colorado focuses providing patients with relief from the symptoms, pain, and stress of a serious illness – whatever the diagnosis. Our team of health care professionals includes physicians, nurses, social workers, and others who provide treatments aimed at improving quality of life. Team members have specialized training in symptom management, as well as the ability to help patients and families establish goals and stay fully informed about their treatment options.
A typical day as a Medical Assistant in Neurology includes a variety of tasks to coordinate patient care and support providers in a clinic setting. You’ll manage medication authorizations, administer vaccinations and perform point-of-care testing , or testing near the patient care site. MA's also prepare patients for exams and treatment using skills such as administering injections, blood draws and EKGs.
Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, some flexibility required.

This position is responsible for assisting clinicians and nursing staff in providing medical care, as well as, implementing and evaluating direct patient care. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment and skills to provide an excellent patient experience.
CORE FUNCTIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Completion of a Banner approved medical assistant training program that also meets state defined regulations.
Active Medical Assistant Certification is required. Active Medical Assistant certification: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) from National Health Career Association (NHA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) from National Certified Competency Testing (NCCT).
BLS certification required upon hire.
Requires strong computer skills, including the ability to work with medical software. Requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Requires the ability to manage multiple changing priorities in an effective and organized fashion.
Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, BTMC Behavioral, and BUMG, BUMCT, or BUMCS in a Behavioral Health clinical setting that serves children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. An Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire.
Experience with office medical procedures and treatments and knowledge of insurance, managed care operations, EMR and scheduling software preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
$21.01 - $31.51 / hour Banner Health is committed to pay equity and transparency. The posted compensation range is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay Banner Health in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. This range is based on possible base salaries and does not include the value of our total rewards package. Actual pay determined at offer will be based on years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location, along with a review of current employees in similar roles to ensure pay equity is achieved and maintained.
