This is a special revenue position.
The Immunization Program Medical Assistant-Client Support Specialist (MA) will support health services provided to patients by ensuring quality patient care through immunization operations. Under the clinical guidance/oversight of the Immunization Program, the Immunization Program MA-CSS will be responsible for performing both front and back office duties, all clinical tasks are in accordance with all Harris County Public Health policies, and procedures as delegated by the Local Health Authority. Also performing clerical front desk duties to support the operations flow.
This position supports the Harris County Public Health Department (HCPH), and reports to the Mobile Immunization Assistant Program Manager. This position will work with our Mobile Immunization & Immunization Program teams, and will travel throughout Harris County.

Supplemental informationPosition Type, and Typical Hours of Work:This is a full-time position, funded through special revenue.40 hours per week.Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Due to the nature of the work, shifts may occasionally be extended beyond the scheduled end time, or days may vary, including weekends, as neededMust be willing to drive throughout Harris County jurisdiction and to Harris County Public Health Clinics
Work Environment:This job operates in both a clinical environment as well as in alternative community-based settings including mobile clinical health services events in different locations throughout Harris County. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and scanners.
Physical Demands:Persons in these positions frequently lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 10 lbs. They also occasionally move objects weighing up to 20 lbs., and sometimes, but rarely, up to 50 lbs.Work Location:Mobile Immunization Services Team.Primary Reporting Address: 1111 Fannin St. Houston, Texas. 77002This position requires travel to multiple community locations within Harris County, as directed
