Do you want to kick start your career in the healthcare field and truly make a difference? Our Occupational Health department is currently hiring a 1.0 (80 hours bi-weekly) Medical Assistant to join the team.
What's Available:
9 FTE - 72 hours bi-weekly
Monday - Friday, Day shifts
Position requires working in both La Crosse and Onalaska occupational health locations. Must be willing to work at both locations.
No weekend or holiday hours required!
We are a unique department, and the Medical Assistant (MA) performs significantly more than basic rooming tasks. The MA will learn the following:
Conduct drug screens and breath alcohol testing (training provided in-house)
Perform hearing tests and pulmonary function tests (one week of training at the University of Minnesota)
Execute point-of-care urinalysis dip testing
Carry out special exams for various companies
Get hands on experience working on procedures with nurses and providers
Partner with a team of providers, medical professionals, and managers who are here to support your success and that of our patients in their health journeys.
