Position Title: Medical Assistant II
Location: 13100 E 1136th St, Fishers, IN 46037, Suite 3300
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Responsibilities:
Under supervision of the designated supervisor and assigned physician, perform duties related to direct patient care and clinical support, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
Ensure completion of ordered procedures and treatments; support smooth patient flow.
Perform general lab work, instruct patients regarding procedures and treatments, and ensure timely and accurate execution of medical orders and referrals.
Handle registration, scheduling, and maintain Electronic Medical Record (EMR) files.
Perform front office functions as needed, including patient check-in and check-out.
May perform computerized physician order entry when directed by the physician.
Precept current MA team members or externs as requested by leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required; graduation from a Medical Assistant program preferred.
Current certification in Medical Assisting from one of the following organizations:
American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
American Medical Technologists (RMA)
National Health career Association (CCMA)
National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare workers required.
Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA standards required.
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding required.
TB validation (to administer or read) preferred or obtained within 6 months of hire.
Familiarity with Business Unit Quality Programs, Meaningful Use, and Standard Work concepts within 6 months of hire.
Knowledge of standard laboratory and medical procedures, insurance plans, and third-party payers.
Ability to master clinical competencies per current policies and checklists.
Basic math skills and accurate data collection and entry skills required.
