Medical Assistant - Health Express - Rancho San Diego - 262005161
This is a benefited, full-time position scheduled for 80 hours every two weeks, with 8-hour shifts on varied days. Shifts may be scheduled anytime between 6:40 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., while weekend and holiday shifts are typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Availability to work every other weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) and holidays is required. This position is based in Rancho San Diego, with travel to neighboring HealthExpress locations as needed.

Job Duties:Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environmentPerform patient care services that support the providers and clinicFront Office responsibilities such as registration, scheduling, patient check-ins, collecting co-pays and check-outsClinical support by checking patient vitals, rooming patients, stocking exam rooms, point of care duties, immunizations, Covid swabbing, and providing patient educationWide variety of acute care patientsPatient volumes of 25 and up per day (sometimes as high as 50)
Required Qualifications:Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsmanBLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)Preferred Qualifications:1 year MA experience in an outpatient settingPediatric experience
