Dermatology offers a full array ofsubspecializedcare foradultand pediatric patients. Our staff provides expert diagnosis and treatment of all disorders of the skin,hairand nails, whether primary or related to an underlying systemic illness, including industrial-related conditions. By joining the Dermatology team as a Medical Assistant, you will collaborate with fellow staff to create a welcoming, comfortable environment for patients,familiesand visitors. You willassistwith rooming patients,inbox communications, settingup forprocedures, and administrative tasksAll your work helps ensure the best possible health outcomes
A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday from800AM –5:00PM
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Assistwith performing screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance,identifyingmedication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performingtestsand documenting patient care.
Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
Maintain equipment, medicalsuppliesand examination areas.
Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, dataentryand patient registration.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting program OR military training as a hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1)
Completion of a clinical externship OR extensive clinical experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross before or within new hire period
Currentdemonstratedclinicalproficiency
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Medical Assisting certification
Successful completion of a Cleveland Clinic externship
