Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.
Reports to: Director of Physician Services
FLSA: Non-exempt
Education: High school diploma or equivalent Required; Graduate of accredited medical assistance program or equivalent Required
License: CCMA, CMA or RMA
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 60 days of hire.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Join our busy general surgery practice with three experienced surgeons dedicated to providing high-quality surgical care to patients throughout our community. Our team includes physicians, nurses, certified medical assistants, patient service representatives, and referral specialists who work together to support patients from consultation through post-operative recovery. We care for a wide variety of surgical conditions and procedures while focusing on patient education, safety, and exceptional service. Under the supervision of physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.
Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.
Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
