Position Purpose:

Qualifications
Required Education: High School or Equivalent - will be required to provide proof (Diploma or Official Transcripts) upon hire
Must also meet one of the following criteria:
GraduateofamedicalassistantprogramaccreditedbyCommissiononAccreditationofAlliedHealth Education Programs or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (documentation on file) or;
Hold a current medical assistant certification from a nationally recognized certifying body accredited by NationalCommissionforCertifyingAgenciesorAmericanNationalStandardsInstitute(e.g.,AAMA,AMT, NCCT, NHA) or;
CompletionofamedicalservicestrainingprogramthroughtheU.S.ArmedForces(documentationon file).
Certification:
BLScertificationthroughtheAmerican HeartAssociationorAmericanRed Cross.
Skills and Knowledge:
Preferences
Experience: One to two years’ experience as a medical assistant in a clinical outpatient setting.
