Supports the care team by performing routine clinical and administrative tasks in an ambulatory care setting. Assists with patient rooming, vital signs, documentation support, specimen handling, supply readiness, and patient flow activities under established procedures. Performs assigned work within scope of practice and under the direct supervision of a physician or other licensed provider.
Medical Assistant works under close supervision on clearly defined tasks within established parameters. Decisions are limited in scope and impact own work products. Builds foundational knowledge of medical assisting, patient care support, clinical workflows, and documentation practices through structured assignments with frequent guidance from more experienced team members.
