Presbyterian Medical Group's Cedar Multispecialty Clinic is seeking a compassionate and motivated PRN Medical Assistant I or Medical Assistant II to join our team. In this role, you will provide clinical and administrative support to providers across multiple specialties while ensuring an exceptional patient experience. This flexible, as-needed position offers an opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic outpatient setting while supporting a collaborative care team.
Placement as a Medical Assistant I or Medical Assistant II is based on experience, education, certifications, and qualifications consistent with Presbyterian's Medical Assistant Career Ladder.

*Responsible for performing medical assistant procedures after completion of competency within organizations MA scope of work, under the supervision of a provider and PHS policy.
*Prepares patient for rooming and exam
*Prepares and administers medications and immunizations
*Suture/Staple removal and dressing changes
*Collects and prepares laboratory specimens
*Provides basic education to patients
*Sets up aseptic and sterile procedures
*Performs office-based procedures
*Performs basic foot care
*Assists with additional procedures as determined by provider
*Participates in the orientation of new hire MAs
*May perform regulatory audits
*Assists with visit closure
*Participates with care team to meet patient care and clinic needs.
*May perform scribe duties after completing PMG scribe training
*High school diploma or equivalent required
*Six months of MA experience or successful completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program from an accredited school required
*Successful completion of Presbyterian MA Advanced Skills Training within 90 days of hire
*BLS (AHA, Red Cross or ASHI Healthcare Provider) required
*Maintains current certifications in required emergency response trainings (i.e. BLS)
*Completes all Organizational, Department of Nursing and Department-Specific competency training/requirements within specified timeframe.
