Medical Assistant

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an exciting potential opportunity for a Medical Assistant at the Dayton VA Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio.

Position Type: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

Position Summary

The Medical Assistant will support healthcare providers by coordinating patient care activities, managing administrative functions, and ensuring Veterans receive exceptional service throughout their healthcare experience. This position plays a vital role in maintaining efficient clinic operations and supporting the delivery of quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and referrals.
• Check patients in and out and maintain accurate patient records.
• Assist with patient communication and customer service activities.
• Manage electronic health records and administrative documentation.
• Support daily clinic operations and care coordination efforts.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification or relevant healthcare experience.
• Experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and scheduling systems.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
