This full-time position has an anticipated hourly pay range of $23.00 per hour – $25.30 per hour
Responsibilities
Roomspatients and accurately collects and records patients’ medical history; including vital statistics, allergies,medicationsand concerns.
Prepares treatment room, stocks andmaintainssupplies and equipment, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
Prepares procedural area andassistswith treatments including bone marrow biopsy specific to the provider’s direction.
Assistswith scheduling routine appointments and check out procedures.
Prepares bone marrow specific to the physician’s direction, andanticipatesneedsof the provider, and other providers.
Addresses patients with a compassionate,friendlyand caring attitude.
Consistentlymaintainsand updates medication knowledge, staying current with industry trends and standards, attends in-services internal or external.
Prepares and administers medications as directed by provider andin accordance withcCAREpolicies and procedures.
Requestsinsurance authorizations and schedule appointments for STAT procedures including but not limited to blood transfusion, paracentesis,thoracentesisand brain MRIs.
Documents receipt,assistswith ensures completion of disability and other miscellaneous forms/ lettersin a timely manner
Effectivelyassistswith E-Prescribing, authorizing drug refills and physician and Physician Dispensing.
Triages phone calls and routes and relays informationin a timely mannerto staff and providersin a timely manner
Daily review and processing of voicemails, reminders, and emails.
Qualifications
Medical Assistant diploma required
Current CPR/BLS
Fluent in Spanish, highly preferred
Medical Assistant experience required
