Minimum Required Education, Experience & Skills

  • Medical Assistant Certificate issued by an accredited institution approved by the Statelicensed to work, or one year experience working in a health care setting that includesdirect patient contact or a combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to one of the employment standards listed above and provides the required knowledge and abilities.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology

  • Data entry abilities and strong computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong customerexperience/service focus
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Teamwork orientation
  • Organized and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Expert in computer literacy in electronic healthrecord
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situationsrequired
  • Basicmathematical skills.
  • Safe work practices in a clinic setting
  • Able to follow through with delegated tasks.

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills

  • High School graduate or GED equivalent
  • Certified in AED and CPR
  • At least5yearsas a certified medical assistant
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but notrequired

Physical & Mental Requirements

Required immunizations and vaccinations.

Ability toliftupwards of50pounds

Ability to push or pull heavy objects using up to 100pounds of force

Ability to standor sitfor extended periods of time

Ability to use fine motor skills tooperateequipment and/or machinery

Ability to properly drive andoperatea company vehicle.

Ability to receive andcomprehendinstructions verbally and/or in writing

Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving

Occasionally requires exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids

Ability to discriminate shades of color when reading a dipstick.
