Dr. Maryam Nazemzadeh, better known as Dr. Naz, has quickly earned a national and international reputation for her artistry in cosmetic eye surgery and injectables, and for her unparalleled eye for beauty. Patients from across the U.S. and around the world come to Tysons, VA to experience her boutique-level care and expertise.

We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. As our Medical Assistant, you will be in charge of the day-to-day patient management operations of our very busy oculofacial plastic surgery and aesthetics (injectables and aesthetic lasers) practice and ensure that we consistently deliver a precise, supportive, and unique experience to our patients.

Our Medical Assistant is responsible for educating cosmetic patients with relevant and up-to-date information about expectations and process. They will also be in charge of taking before/after photos, numbing for injectables, rooming, scribing, assisting the doctor with consults and price quotes, and injections. They will educate and inform patients about before and after care of injectables, neuromodulators, dermal fillers, and non-invasive procedures offered. They are expected to optimize patient flow to ensure patients are roomed and seen by their provider on a timely basis and ensure consistent delivery of an excellent patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Triage and room patients, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
• Conduct effective and informative patient consultations to determine aesthetic goals, educate patients, and set realistic expectations regarding possible results.
• Set up for dermal filler injections, reconstitute neurotoxins, draw syringes for neuromodulator injections based on physician recommendation.
• Accurately measure, document, and record patient information in the EMR; scribe notes in EMR for physician.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care and education to patients. Make daily follow-up calls to check on patients, post cosmetic procedures.
• Take precise before and after photos.
• Keep medical inventory supplies to ensure the practice is properly stocked; stock exam and procedure rooms.
• Implement strategic sales initiatives to maximize revenue and expand customer base.
• Prepare quotes on services suggested by physician.
• Cross promote new services/treatments.

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a medical practice setting.
• Experience with Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, Medical Spa and Injectables, preferred.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
• Proficient computer and EMR skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Outgoing, friendly, and professional personality.

Full-time Salary and Benefits:

Hourly: $18-$28/hour; commensurate with experience
