
Location: Naval Health Clinic Hawaii – Makalapa Salary: $48,000–$50,000 (Depending on experience)

The Medical Registration Clerk supports daily clinic operations by managing medical records, assisting with patient check‑in, and performing essential administrative tasks. This role requires accuracy, professionalism, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced medical environment.
Review, extract, and manage medical record information.
Prepare documents, reports, and data using word processing and spreadsheet software.
Enter and retrieve information from electronic medical record systems, including:
Composite Health Care System
Healthcare Artifact and Image Management Solution
Military Health System Genesis
Input Future Enrollment Report data three times per week.
Check in approximately 25 patients per day and respond to about 25 phone inquiries.
Provide routine information and direct visitors or callers to appropriate staff.
Create approximately 20 new medical records daily; maintain, file, and retire records according to regulations.
Copy, fax, file, and distribute medical documents and incoming mail.
Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and staff.
Protect and handle sensitive medical information in accordance with established procedures.
U.S. Citizenship required.
High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree in health information technology or medical administration is preferred.
Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform normal walking and movement.
No additional certifications, licensure, or board certification required.
