We are currently seeking a Medical Affairs Specialist to join our diverse and dynamic team. The Medical Affairs Specialist at ICON, provides administrative support on projects, medical consultation and medical expert opinions to therapeutic sites, reviews medical testing and lab reports, makes protocol decisions using inclusion/exclusion criteria, reviews and classifies protocol deviations, chairs/attends project meetings and teleconferences and monitors project financial.
What you will be doing
Contribute to the preparation of Medical Management Plans (MMPs), trackers, reports and other deliverables
Participate in data review activities relating to patient safety and diagnostic results
Liaise with investigational sites and sponsors on medical affairs issues, under supervision
Collaborate cross-functionally with Project Management, Safety, Regulatory Affairs and other operational teams
Attend internal and external project meetings and teleconferences as required
Support financial tracking, including unit metrics, out-of-scope activities and change orders
Maintain up-to-date, accurate documentation and project tracking systems
Support process improvement initiatives and help streamline workflows across Medical Affairs
Your Profile:
A background in life sciences, nursing, pharmacy, or a related medical field.
Prior experience in a clinical research, medical affairs or patient safety setting preferred.
Understanding of clinical protocols and regulatory standards.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables.
A collaborative mindset, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
