Job Description
Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Media Transfer Agent to support a government contract based on the island of Diego Garcia.
PURPOSE / SCOPE
The Media Transfer Agent is responsible for overseeing the transfer of removable media to secured network while maintaining data integrity and cyber security, safety, and protection of the systems and data. Will monitor to proactively protect against any emerging threats while maintaining current knowledge and training to consistency provide Program security to data and systems. Media Transfer Agent will perform other duties as assigned by Program leadership.
The Media Transfer Agent will be available for on-call support as needed 24 hours/day, 7 days/week in this role.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent combination of experience, education and training
- Must have three years’ experience in a similar role preferably in the military or a government installation.
- Must be familiar with current global, US, Program and PWS requirements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US passport and driver's license throughout employment in this role
- Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring
- Ability to successfully pass the medical contract requirements and maintain compliance throughout the duration of deployment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location
- Ability to obtain country-specific visas as required by the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide
WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Able to stand for long periods of time such as eight (8) to ten (10) hours, bend, kneel, and reach to store/retrieve supplies
- Able to lift, carry, and push supplies and boxes up to 50 pounds
- Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
- May work in a typical office environment
- This position is located on Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), a remote overseas location supporting U.S. Government operations. Employees may work in offices, industrial warehouses, ports, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Requirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments. Must be able to meet all medical, security, and deployment requirements associated with assignment to a remote overseas location.
