Job Description
New River Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education operating under a state-wide system of 23 community colleges. The college is located on a one-hundred-plus acre site at the intersection of U.S. Routes 11 and 100 in Dublin, Virginia with an instructional site in Christiansburg. The campus provides modern, well-equipped facilities for the career technical education programs as well as for the college transfer programs. Approximately 4,000 students comprise the student body.

Duties:
·Manage the implementation, installation, and maintenance of all equipment in electronic classrooms, auditoriums, and boardrooms.
·Evaluate and recommend purchases to meet the video production and media service needs, while maintaining departmental budget.
·Manage the development, production, and direction of the college’s live stream and video production.
·Communicate with internal and external entities to ensure proper preparation for on-campus events and meetings.
·Oversee all live audio/video/light production of events held on campus.
·Supervise full-time, part-time, and student workers.
·Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology Support Services.
·Provide or schedule support for evening and weekend events.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
·Experience with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer and audio/visual equipment, as well as equipment associated with electronic classrooms.
·Demonstrated project management skills.
·Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
·Effective written and oral communication skills.
·Experience in management or team leadership.
·Extensive understanding of audio, video, and live production.
· Demonstrated knowledge of live sound production and familiarity with various mixing consoles.
·Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast production switcher technology, such as Broadcast Pix, NewTek, AJA, Black Magic, etc.
·Strong understanding of Windows and Mac OS, Android, and iOS devices.
·Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative manner in a team-oriented environment.
Additional Considerations
Additional factors that may be considered include:
·3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with AV control systems.
·Experience working with and deploying audio-visual systems in higher education settings.
·Demonstrated experience with Crestron, Extron, or other leading AV integration platforms.
·Audiovisual certifications, such as Crestron CTIMCP
·Knowledge of video editing software such as Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
·Experience in live audio/video/lighting production.
