Job Description

The Team

We are seeking a Media Room Assistant/Junior Editor to work in American Tower’s Media Room part-time for 30 hours a week. Day-to-day, you will focus on pre- and post-production support. You will partner cross-functionally with the Communications and Learning & Development teams.

Core Responsibilities

Pre-Production Support

  • Schedule recordings and reserve Media Room time
  • Prepare teleprompter scripts
  • Organize project folders
  • Verify equipment readiness
  • Charge batteries and prepare media cards
  • Track production requests

Production Support

  • Set up cameras, lights, microphones, and teleprompters
  • Manage recording logs and shot notes
  • Prepare the studio before and after sessions

Post-Production Support

  • Ingest footage
  • Organize and back up assets
  • Create Premiere Pro project structures
  • Build rough cuts from scripts
  • Add lower thirds and captions
  • Export review versions
  • Upload videos to Vimeo, Stream, or SharePoint
  • Track review comments
  • Perform quality control before publishing

Asset Management

  • Maintain media libraries
  • Tag and archive content
  • Manage storage locations
  • Ensure version control
  • Keep project naming conventions consistent

Administrative Tasks

  • Track equipment inventory
  • Coordinate with vendors
  • Update documentation and SOPs

Qualifications

Technical

  • Adobe Premiere
  • Basic After Effects
  • Audition or audio cleanup
  • Camera operation (FX3, A7RV)
  • Audio recording fundamentals
  • Basic lighting technique

Organizational

  • File management
  • Attention to detail
  • Time management
  • Project tracking
  • Communication skills
