Job Description

We are looking for a Media & KOL Specialist who is familiar with social media and content ecosystems. This role will be responsible for building and executing the brand's KOL/Influencer/KOC seeding matrix in the China market. The position focuses on content-driven marketing strategies, establishing and maintaining influencer resources, executing seeding campaigns, and driving measurable growth for the brand in China.

Core Responsibilities】

1. Omni-channel KOL/KOC Seeding Strategy & Execution (70%)

  • Resource Development: Discover KOLs, influencers, and KOCs on platforms such as Xiaohongshu (Red), Douyin, and Bilibili who align with the brand's image. Build and maintain an influencer database (including a mass seeding matrix of nano-influencers).
  • Brief Writing: Independently write clear and actionable influencer briefs based on product selling points and campaign objectives (brand awareness / conversion / search share). Briefs should include key messages, keyword embedding, mandatory talking points, restricted keywords, comment section guidelines, etc.
  • Seeding Execution: Manage the end-to-end process – influencer screening → brief distribution → script/outline review → content revision communication → scheduling & posting → comment section monitoring → data collection.
  • Performance Optimization: Track metrics such as CPM, CPE, search-back rate, store UV, ratio of disclosed vs. undisclosed posts, and deliver post-campaign analysis reports.

2. Platform Deep Dive & Operations (15%)

  • Understand each platform's compliance boundaries (e.g., restricted keywords on Xiaohongshu, marketing-related throttling on Douyin, "sponsored content" phrasing norms on Bilibili) to avoid content violations.
  • Understand platform algorithm and traffic distribution mechanisms, and be able to suggest title/cover/hashtag optimizations based on organic performance data.

3. Competitor Monitoring & Viral Content Analysis (10%)

  • Regularly monitor key competitors' seeding activities on Xiaohongshu, Douyin, and Bilibili, and deconstruct the brief logic behind their viral posts/videos.

4. Process & Budget Management (5%)

  • Manage collaboration workflows (contracts/payments/invoicing). Familiarity with major cooperation channels (Pugongying, Xingtu, direct outreach, etc.).

Qualifications】

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in social commerce, digital marketing, or media in China. Candidates with prior media execution roles at MCN agencies, DP/creative agencies are preferred.
  • Briefing Ability: Ability to translate brand "product selling points" into "content language" that influencers want to film and followers want to watch – crafting briefs that provide structure while leaving room for creativity.
  • Deep Platform Understanding: In-depth knowledge of the content logic and algorithmic differences across Xiaohongshu (search-focused + aesthetic-driven), Douyin (completion rate + first 3 seconds), and Bilibili (depth + fan loyalty).
  • Content Judgement: Ability to spot fake engagement (bots/fake followers) at a glance, and to anticipate whether an influencer will struggle to execute the brief or miss the intended direction.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to provide clear, actionable revision feedback – not just "this doesn't feel right".
  • Tool Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with platform analytics tools is a plus.

  • Experience with projects in Greater China (Mainland China / Hong Kong / Taiwan)
  • An existing portfolio of KOLs or media contacts
  • Experience in consumer electronics / lifestyle / fashion brands
