Job Description

Advertising Media Buyer to plan, negotiate, purchase, and optimise media placements across various channels. Must have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of media landscapes, and the ability to maximise campaign performance and ROI.

Key Responsibilities

Media Planning & Strategy

  • Develop and execute media buying strategies aligned with campaign objectives
  • Identify target audiences and recommend appropriate media channels (digital, TV, radio, print, outdoor)
  • Collaborate with internal teams (creative, strategy, account management) to align messaging and placements

Media Buying & Negotiation

  • Negotiate rates, placements, and added value with media vendors and publishers
  • Purchase media space across platforms including programmatic, social, search, and traditional channels
  • Maintain strong relationships with media owners and agencies

Campaign Execution & Optimisation

  • Monitor live campaigns and optimise performance based on KPIs (CPC, CPM, CPA, ROI)
  • Adjust budgets and placements in real-time to improve effectiveness
  • Ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within budget

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyse campaign performance using analytics tools and dashboards
  • Generate post-campaign reports with insights and recommendations
  • Track market trends, audience behaviours, and competitor activity

Budget Management

  • Manage and allocate media budgets effectively
  • Track spend and reconcile invoices with vendors
  • Ensure cost efficiency and value delivery

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Media Buyer or similar role in advertising/marketing
  • Strong understanding of digital platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads, programmatic buying)
  • Familiarity with traditional media buying (TV, radio, print, OOH)
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel and reporting tools
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field
  • Experience with media planning tools and ad tech platforms
  • Knowledge of audience measurement tools (e.g., Nielsen, Comscore)
  • Certifications in Google Ads, Meta Blueprint, or similar
