About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and data-driven Media Buyer to plan, negotiate, execute, and optimize advertising campaigns across digital and traditional media channels. The role is responsible for maximizing campaign performance, managing media budgets, building strong relationships with media partners, and ensuring clients achieve their marketing and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Media Planning & Buying
Develop and execute media buying strategies across digital, print, outdoor, radio, television, and other advertising platforms.
Research and identify the most effective media channels based on campaign objectives and target audiences.
Plan media schedules and allocate budgets to maximize campaign reach and return on investment (ROI).
Negotiate competitive advertising rates, placements, and value-added opportunities with media vendors.
Campaign Management
Launch, monitor, and optimize media campaigns to achieve performance targets.
Track campaign delivery and ensure advertisements are published or aired according to approved schedules.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement optimization strategies where required.
Coordinate campaign revisions and adjustments based on performance data.
Budget & Cost Management
Manage campaign budgets and ensure efficient utilization of advertising spend.
Monitor media costs, invoices, and reconciliations.
Prepare budget forecasts and cost analyses for clients and management.
Ensure campaigns remain within approved budgets while maximizing results.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Work closely with clients to understand campaign objectives, target audiences, and business goals.
Present media plans, campaign recommendations, and performance reports.
Build and maintain strong relationships with media owners, publishers, and advertising platforms.
Collaborate with creative, digital, account management, and content teams to ensure campaign success.
Market Research & Performance Analysis
Conduct market research to identify industry trends, audience behavior, and competitor activities.
Analyze campaign performance using media analytics and reporting tools.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve future campaigns.
Stay updated on emerging advertising platforms and media buying best practices.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare detailed campaign reports highlighting performance, reach, engagement, and ROI.
Maintain accurate media schedules, contracts, insertion orders, and campaign documentation.
Ensure timely reporting to clients and internal stakeholders.
Maintain organized records of media purchases and vendor agreements.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
3–7 years of experience in media buying, media planning, digital advertising, or campaign management.
Experience working within an advertising agency, media agency, or marketing organization is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of digital advertising platforms, traditional media channels, and audience analytics.
