Becker School District is conveniently located off of US Hwy 10, just 20 minutes SE from St. Cloud and 45 minutes NW from the Twin Cities. The District consists of five buildings, all situated on a single, cohesive campus and serves approximately 2,800 students - Early Education Building, Primary School (K-2), Intermediate School (3-5), Middle School (6-8), and High School (9-12). Becker's mission is to develop self-directed learners to thrive in a changing global community.
Position Summary: Assists in organizing and implementing Media Center operations and activities. Performs such duties as:
a) Circulates media center materials and resources.
b) Provides customer service to students and staff, including locating and checking out materials.
c) Prints and distributes overdue notices.
d) Prepares and enters new media materials into the library's system.
e) Assists students and staff in checking out books and other Media Center materials.
f) Assists students in locating and selecting appropriate materials. Provides student recommendations for novels and
stories based upon student interests.
g) Makes recommendations to the Media Specialist concerning the purchase of books or materials.
Schedule: 7:30 - 3:30 (7.5 hours per day)
Salary: $19.74 and up, DOE (see contract attached).
