Responsible for ordering stock and non-stock supplies, instrumentation and equipment for all critical and med-surg departments for all three campuses. Negotiates with vendors on best price for products and services using GPO and local contracts. Analyzes inventory data to minimize freight cost and maintain par levels.
Schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for maintaining specific inventories collecting and analyzing data to maintain inventories at planned levels, minimizing freight cost and eliminating customer dissatisfaction.
Researches internet and other sources for best buys and product information.
Responsible for setting up new vendors to electronic data interchange (EDI).
Adds new items to the item dictionary/formulary and makes sure they are approved through SURP if applicable, correct EOC is applied and procedure code is applied from CS.
Places orders to restock inventories for West, East, and Neosho Central Supply.
Responsible for maintaining the inventory in Stores (Meditech dictionaries), and routine reconciliation of physical inventory counts to Meditech counts. Manage conversations when product changes and/or when packaging changes.
