Your tasks

  • Develop skills to be able to understand Preventative/Predictive Maintenance procedures and best practices at New Boston plant location or Jefferson plant location.
  • Develop skills to be able to fabricate parts from raw material
  • Develop skills to be able to draw/design simple pneumatic systems, and follow pneumatic schematics of complex machines/assembly lines.
  • Develop skills to be able to draw/design simple electronic systems, and follow electronic schematics of complex machines/assembly lines.
  • Develop skills to be able to program/design simple PLC programs, and follow existing PLC programs of complex machines/assembly lines.
  • Develop skills to be able to program simple ABB robot programs, and follow existing ABB robot programs of complex machines/assembly lines.
  • Physical requirements may include lifting and carrying objects up to 20 pounds

Your Profile

  • Comfortable with Starting Pay: The program begins at $16/hour during work rotations, with a $1/hour increase each year throughout the three-year apprenticeship. Tuition for the associate degree is fully covered, and apprentices receive a $200 weekly stipend during the weeks they attend school.
  • Complete guided training program lead by Technical Trainer.
  • Learn basics of mechatronics, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Finish the program at an entry level of “Technician” role at Brose with successful completion of the IHK/PAL Examinations.
  • Upon completion of program, Apprentices must commit to fulltime employment with Brose for two years.
