Job Description

Are you a visionary engineer who thrives at the intersection of mechanical precision, electronic complexity, and automated intelligence? GE Vernova is looking for a Mechatronic Engineer to define the future of our manufacturing test architecture.
If you are passionate about building robust, scalable, and safe test platforms that power global manufacturing excellence, we want to hear from you.

As our Mechatronic Engineer, you won’t just be solving problems—you’ll be supporting test solutions. You will support the technical strategy for advanced manufacturing test platforms, ensuring seamless integration between mechanical fixtures, electronic instrumentation, and sophisticated control systems.

You’ll act as key member of our team and ensuring that every system we deploy meets the highest standards of safety, scalability, and performance.

Your Impact

  • Architect Success: Design integrated test platforms that synchronize high-precision mechanical motion with state-of-the-art industrial controls.

  • Master the Protocol: Oversee communication architectures (EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP) to ensure lightning-fast, reliable data exchange.

  • Innovate & Automate: Drive Design for Test (DFT) and Design for Manufacture (DFM) initiatives, using your expertise in CAD and software (LabVIEW/Embedded C++) to push boundaries.

  • Champion Safety: Embed "Safety by Design" into every project, ensuring full compliance with CE/UKCA, PUWER, and environmental standards (REACH, RoHS).

  • Lead & Mentor: Coordinate with global vendors and cross-functional teams, serving as a technical mentor to help our junior engineers reach their full potential.

What You Bring

  • Qualifications: A degree in Mechatronics, Electronic Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.

  • Experience: A proven track record in a role within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

  • Software & CAD: Experience with LabVIEW and Embedded C/C++, combined with proficiency in mechanical/electrical CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD Electrical).

  • The Technical Edge: Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and a passion for complex mechatronic system design.

  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to apply SPC and FMEA methodologies to drive continuous improvement, yield optimization, and cycle-time reduction.

Why GE Vernova?

At GE Vernova, we don’t just build machines; we build the energy infrastructure of the future. You will be part of a forward-thinking culture that values innovation, operational excellence, and, above all, the safety and development of our people.
