8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a growing organization made up of businesses that produce and sell quality products including peanut butter, granola, and fruit and nut trail mixes to retail, foodservice and ingredient customers. The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings’ private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (“THL”), a private equity firm.
The Markham, Ontario plant produces both organic and non‑organic peanut butter, with annual production of approximately 35 million pounds. The site supports a team of about 60 manufacturing and support employees and plays an important role in supplying products across the region.
Markham is located just north of Toronto and is widely known as Canada’s High‑Tech Capital, home to more than 1,000 high‑tech and life sciences companies. We make the best peanut butter by roasting and grinding peanuts combined with other raw ingredients that flow to a 1 fully automated line consisting of a filler, capper, labeler and pallet wrapper, and then shipped out all over the world!

Location: 30 Citizen Court Drive, Markham
Shift: Day shift M-F 6am-2pm - plus weekend overtime work
Pay rate is $38.06 per hour plus 10 days Paid Time Off
Reporting to the Maintenance manager, the Electrician will perform preventative maintenance duties on production equipment as well as troubleshooting machines, managing motor controls and will be required to interpret and read electrical drawings.
