Mechanical Utilities Engineer - Mid-Level
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Schedule: Full time - Year round
Travel: Roughly 30%
Currently seeking individuals for
Mechanical Utilities Engineering Successful
candidates will aid in the design and implementation of utility equipment systems as part of a broad
engineering and architectural team. Working for a national engineering firm which offers complete planning, process engineering, facility development, and construction management services.
Knowledge should include:
- Steam/ condensate, compressed air, chilled water generation, water filtration systems
- Industrial refrigeration systems including ammonia, Freon, and CO2
- Process utility systems including RO water, nitrogen, and CO2
- Utility and distribution piping
- Generation of equipment and piping specifications, utility PFD’s & P&ID’s
- Installation supervision and system start up assistance
Responsibilities:
- Direct interaction with clients and end users
- Preliminary engineering studies, including cost estimating, project scheduling, and report writing
- Detailed engineering and systems design
- Equipment and subcontractor procurement duties
- Installation supervision and utility system start-up assistance
Requirements:
- Required 3+ years of experience
- Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related 4-year degree
- Successful candidates will be professional, self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic with excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- AutoCAD ability preferred
- FE/EIT certificate preferred
- Travel to customer project sites for review, audit, and meetings, estimated 15 - 25%
