INFRASTRUCTURE LIGHT VEHICLE MECHANIC

Greenbushes Lithium Operation

Full Time Position

Talison Lithium aims to maximise local employment where possible by recruiting people who live in and around our local communities of Greenbushes, Bridgetown, Donnybrook, Nannup, Boyup Brook and Manjimup. Camp accommodation is available.

About the Role

Reporting to the Infrastructure Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will carry out preventative, corrective maintenance and inspections to Talison equipment. This includes light vehicles, generators, mobile and auxiliary equipment.

This is a residential position at Greenbushes Operations on a 7:7 non-continuous Roster.

Responsibilities include:

• Daily communication with Infrastructure Supervisor;
• Accurately record time spent on maintenance tasks with constructive, documented feedback;
• Diagnose malfunctions on vehicles, mobile and auxiliary equipment;
• Participate in the development and review of preventive maintenance checklists and safe work procedures;
• Complete scheduled maintenance activities as requested, complete check sheets and reports as required;
• Respond to unscheduled maintenance activities as requested and complete follow up reports as required;
• Complete routine preventive inspections and identify improvements or potential failures;
• Follow mechanical code, manuals, schematic drawings, blueprints and other specifications;
• Carry out repairs using hand tools and specialised equipment as per design;
• Carry out housekeeping during and after each maintenance task to ensure safe work areas; and
• Attend training when required;
• Daily conduct and promote Talison Values; and
• Comply with the Employee Accountability Statement.

About the Candidate

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

• Australian-recognised Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology with a minimum of three(3) years post trade experience;
• Experience in maintaining auxiliary equipment, light and heavy vehicles;
• Experience in Diagnosing and Repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Current Australian driver’s license; C Class
• A proactive, collaborative approach and commitment to safety;
• Willingness to contribute toward the success of your team while supporting a positive team culture;
• Proactive attitude towards Preventive and Reliability centred maintenance;
• Understanding of Job Safety Analysis;
• The legal right to live and work in Australia; and
• Reside within 30 minutes’ drive of the Greenbushes Lithium Operation or utilise camp accomodation.

Desired

• Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology an advantage
• Electric vehicle experience
• HR License an advantage

Competencies

• Current WA drivers licence (Manual Transmission)
• Apply First Aid.
