Mechanical Tradesperson

Greenbushes Lithium Operation

Residential Full Time Position

This is a permanent full-time position working an attractive 7:7 continuous shift roster, providing a great balance between work and lifestyle.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity is avaliable for a Mechanical Tradesperson to join our team and play a key role in maintaining the reliability of our fixed plant. Working across breakdowns, fault finding, shutdowns and preventative maintenance, you'll have the opportunity to use your trade expertise while identifying continuous improvement opportunities and contributing to a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities include:

• Install and repair mechanical systems, apparatus and components of industrial machinery and equipment;
• Follow mechanical code, manuals, schematic drawings, blueprints and other specifications;
• Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as pumps, crushers and agitators;
• Replace damaged or broken parts using hand tools;
• Test malfunctioning machinery using test equipment;
• Carry out housekeeping tasks during and after maintenance to ensure safe work areas;
• Participate in the development and review of safe work procedures;
• Complete scheduled maintenance activities as requested and complete check sheets and reports as required;
• Respond to unscheduled maintenance activities as requested and complete follow up reports as required;
• Complete routine inspections and identify faults; and
• Complete daily time sheets to record activities and time spent on maintenance tasks.

About the Candidate

• Minimum mechanical trade qualification;
• Minimum 3 years post trade experience;
• Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and pumping systems;
• Understanding of mineral process operation;
• Understanding of CCMS;
• Working knowledge of standards and codes;
• Experience in Job Safety Analysis and Toolbox meetings;
• Ability to work in a team environment; and
• Minimum C class licence.
