What you'll contribute to

As a Mechanical Tradesperson, you'll play an important role in maintaining and improving the reliability, availability and efficiency of critical generating assets at Wivenhoe Power Station. You'll perform mechanical maintenance, plant inspections, asset overhauls and improvement activities that support safe and reliable operations. Your work will directly support CleanCo's ability to provide reliable, low-emission energy to Queensland customers while ensuring critical assets continue operating safely and efficiently.

In this role you will:

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Complete inspections, fault finding and diagnostics to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support major equipment overhauls and maintenance campaigns.
• Help improve systems, processes and work practices that enhance reliability and safety.
• Coordinate contractors and support operational activities during peak work periods.
• Maintain accurate technical records and documentation.
• Build strong working relationships across operations, engineering and maintenance teams.

This role is a full-time, 1-year fixed term contract based at Wivenhoe Power Station.

On your first day you will have:

• Mechanical Trade Certificate.Experience within heavy industrial, manufacturing, mining, utilities or power generation environments.
• Strong fault-finding, maintenance and diagnostic capability on rotating equipment and plant assets.
• Experience working within permit-to-work and safety management systems.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with tradespeople, contractors and operational teams.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings, documentation and maintenance systems.
