The Woodman Point Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) is the largest Resource Recovery treatment facility in Western Australia, servicing industrial, commercial and residential customers across Perth’s southern metropolitan region.
As part of a major sludge treatment upgrade, the facility is entering a new era of operations with the introduction of advanced technologies, including a Thermal Hydrolysis Process (THP) and an enhanced Energy Recovery Facility.
These enhancements significantly increase the complexity and criticality of the site, introducing large-scale steam boiler operations and other advanced treatment and processing systems to the site.
About the role:
We currently have four permanent full-time opportunities for an experienced Mechanical Tradesperson based at our Woodman Point Treatment Plant and working across our various assets.
The successful applicants will be responsible for the provision of mechanical services including scheduled and unscheduled installation, servicing, & overhaul maintenance, fault finding, repair, testing and commissioning of all Water Corporation’s assets across our sites.

What you’ll do:
You’ll be responsible for the provision of mechanical services including scheduled and unscheduled (breakdown) maintenance and installation, testing, fault finding, repair and enhance reliability of Mechanical Assets across our Water and Water Resource Recovery areas and sites.
You will also be part of an after-hours response roster undertaking faults diagnosis and incident response after hours in addition to planned or unplanned overtime as required.
Main Duties will involve:
Performing scheduled (planned) and unscheduled (breakdown) maintenance in water, wastewater treatment and resource recovery systems and processes including gas, boiler, and steam systems.
Performing complex isolation and shutdowns procedures.
Conducting maintenance tasks and problem solving which requires application of knowledge of complex process, treatment and chemical dosing systems.
Complex problem solving of advanced treatment, process and transfer systems, water, wastewater, and chemical dosing systems.
Planning work and solving water industry problems.
Planning, preparing and delivering maintenance projects, and shutdowns works, including arranging associated contractors.
Key skills and experience:
We are seeking Mechanical Trade qualified candidates, ideally possessing strong experience and ability to repair and overhaul mechanical equipment, such as pumps, centrifuges, fans, engines, boilers, gas systems, gearboxes, and valves.
