Job Description

The Mechanical Test Engineer is responsible for planning and performing tests to verify the quality, reliability, and compliance of mechanical parts and assemblies with technical requirements. Working within the R&D team, this role combines dimensional inspection, mechanical strength testing, assembly force measurements, and leak testing to support product development. The Mechanical Test Engineer works closely with mechanical engineers to develop test plans, assess design risks, and translate test results into actionable recommendations, while ensuring clear documentation and continuous improvement of testing procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and carry out verification testing of mechanical parts and assemblies, including dimensional inspection using 3D scanners, mechanical strength testing, assembly force measurements, and leak testing.
  • Work with laboratory measurement and testing equipment, including force gauges, 3D scanners, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and vacuum leak testing systems.
  • Prepare test reports and perform statistical analysis of test results.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to develop test plans and assess mechanical design risks.
  • Perform destructive and non-destructive testing of supplier components, such as springs, magnets, and contacts, in accordance with agreed test plans.
  • Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for testing and maintain clear documentation and traceability of test results and testing history.

Salary

Recognizing the candidate's efforts and experience, we offer a competitive salary that reflects your skills and expertise. The salary for this position ranges from €16/hour - €24/hour (€ 2,600 – 4,000 per month) before taxes, depending on your experience and competence.

The employment contract states a fixed hourly salary before taxes.
