
The Assembly Mechanic is an intermediate level position responsible for safely assembling oil-field equipment using a variety of hand tools, impact wrenches, and overhead cranes in a Manufacturing environment. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in both an individual and team role capacity. The technician will visually inspect components, identify issues, and ensure proper handling of equipment throughout the assembly process. Intermediate mechanical aptitude, teamwork, and a commitment to workplace safety are essential for success in this position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years related work experience – See Preferred Qualifications
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Fluent in English. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations. Ability to understand detailed drawings, bills of material, schematics, and work instructions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver’s License
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
4 years of demonstrated experience working with mechanical assembly and or repair to include:
COMPUTER SKILLS
General knowledge of Microsoft Word and E-Mail messaging, and an all-around general knowledge of computer operations is advantageous.

Possesses intermediate mechanical expertise, with demonstrate hands-on experience with mechanical assembly
Knowledge of proper cleaning, fitting, bolting, threading, aligning, and grinding procedures
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings, schematics, or other technical documents
Ability to properly move material and equipment using cranes, hand-jacks, and forklifts; training may be provided
