Scope
Mechanical Technician II supporting maintenance and reliability of mechanical equipment within oil & gas operations. Works under supervision to execute planned maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure safe and efficient operations.
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Assist mechanical engineers with planning and testing of mechanical equipment and components
  • Execute maintenance work on engines, compressors, and associated equipment
  • Participate in all on-the-job safety tools and procedures
  • Review job packs prior to execution
  • Identify and mitigate safety issues before starting work
  • Execute work as planned and within schedule
  • Record technical history in systems (GRT, data sheets, etc.)
  • Provide feedback to improve job packs and execution processes
  • Request permits and notify Supervisor if delays exceed 30 minutes
Qualifications
  • Relevant mechanical certification or equivalent field experience
  • Strong communication skills with ability to report field conditions clearly
  • Team-oriented with ability to work across functions
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and workloads
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
Notes
  • VRU compressor experience required
  • Gas lift experience preferred
  • Ariel compressor experience preferred
  • Diesel generator experience preferred
  • Experience in repair and maintenance of Leroi, FS Curtis, Boss, and TamRotor screw compressors
  • Experience maintaining and repairing instrument air compressors (Ingersoll Rand, Quincy, Saylor Beall, Atlas Copco)
  • Experience with diesel generator packages (John Deere and Perkins engines)
  • Experience maintaining Ariel JGA-4 frame gas lift compressors
  • Experience with LACT PDP pumps and centrifugal pumps
