Job Description

About the Role 
Buen is looking for a Mechanical Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot equipment faults, and support reliable plant operations. The role involves ensuring safety compliance, minimizing downtime, maintaining records, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs
  • Maintain logs and spare-parts records
  • Read technical drawings and manuals
  • Implement maintenance procedures
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Participate in root-cause analysis
  • Provide input into spare parts planning
  • Identify cost reductions
  • Reduce MTTR and escalate accordingly
  • Respond to breakdown call-outs
  • Work shifts and extended hours when required
  • Any other duty assigned.
Skills and Requirements:
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding and fabrication
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Willingness to work shifts and emergency call-outs
  • Preventive maintenance knowledge
  • AutoCAD knowledge
