About the role:

The Mechanical Technician’s responsibility is to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. A role requires a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. Experience with plant maintenance, primarily, laundry, operations and chillers preferred.

What you will do:

• Responsible for the repair, maintenance, and preventive upkeep of all laundry equipment, including mechanical, electrical, lighting, plumbing, and associated pipework.

• Take ownership of the laundry equipment maintenance program, ensuring full compliance with schedules and quality standards.

• Inspect and maintain steam and air lines in the laundry area.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions, repair or replace damaged equipment and calibrate controls and other critical components.

• Conduct preventive maintenance in guestrooms and back-of-house facilities, ensuring accurate documentation of tasks performed, time spent, and materials used into HotSos

• Perform plumbing repairs and filter cleaning as needed.

• Request and follow up on urgent spare parts and materials as needed.

• Perform electrical repairs and maintenance, including motors, breakers, and wiring installations for renovations and outlet additions, and temporary electrical setups for exhibitions and conventions.

• Respond promptly and professionally to guest complaints regarding room or public area maintenance.

• Assist Shift Engineers during major repairs, system shutdowns and moving equipment

• Take regular meter readings, record temperatures and pressures, update PM logs and charts accordingly.

• Respond efficiently to emergencies such as power failures, and equipment malfunctions at any time.

Schedule & Hours:

• Successful candidates will be hired as regular, full time employee. Successful candidates are expected to work day and night shifts, holidays, and/or weekends.
