TransCore LP Project Technicians in the Philippines will be
performing assembly, installation, configuration, and maintenance of Multi-Lane
Free Flow (MLFF) Roadside equipment (RSE).
Job Summary:
Assembly and maintenance
technician with perform assembly, installation, and wiring of RSE equipment
inside outdoor enclosures, support in the staging, configuration, and
validation of TransCore’s Infinity Digital Lane System RSE and perform on-site
or in-house servicing, repair and/or installation of RSE. This job may include
any aspect of field support including installation, troubleshooting and repair
of electronic equipment and wiring, installation and configuration of component
systems/firmware, including upgrades, modifications and programming; preventive
maintenance actions; documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Education:
High school diploma. College credits, Vocational certification, or TESDA certificate a plus.
Required Skills:
General hardware technical assembly, troubleshooting and repair
General cabling, small tool proficiency
Experience on Microsoft Windows and Linux-based hardware
Blueprint, technical schematic proficiency
Must maintain driver’s license in good standing as verified by TransCore.
Must be comfortable working at heights that could be in excess of 6m.
Familiarity with basic electrical or networking concepts.
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
Ability to work with hand tools and small electronic components.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of Philippine money, and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Able to use both English and Metric systems and able to convert values between two standards.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 12 kg. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 23 kg. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The majority of the work will be performed in a warehouse environment but the employee will be required to perform work in the field which is exposed to highway vehicular traffic.
