Designing & developing Accessories & Energy Solutions for mission-critical, public safety, enterprise & video security applications. Core product portfolios include:
Audio Accessories: Remote speaker mic, mobile mic, wired/wireless earpieces & surveillance/tactical audio accessories.
Carry Accessories: Belt clip, belt loop, shoulder strap, leather case & holster.
Energy: High performance IMPRES/Core batteries, single/multi unit chargers & energy efficient power supplies.
The Mechanical Technician provides critical hands on support to the product development & engineering team in design, prototyping & testing. The technician works closely with engineers to translate concepts into functional prototypes, fabricate or assemble test setup, conduct performance & reliability testing, document results & prepare technical reports, assist engineers in root cause analysis & issue resolution, ensure products meet key performance & quality matrices prior to product release.
Test Execution: Set up & run experiments & validation tests on new products and components according to established test plans.
Data Collection: Accurately collect, organize & document test data using lab equipment.
Troubleshooting: Identify, document & report failures or unexpected issues observed during testing & assist in root cause analysis.
Test Reports: Assist engineers in compiling test data, creating summary charts, & preparing formal test reports.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical field.
Fresh to 2 years of experience in new product development, prototyping & testing environment.
Experience in fabricating functional prototypes from engineering drawings & conducting mechanical tests (drop, vibration, IP, chemical, life cycle) & reliability tests.
Hands-on skills using lab equipment such as Instron machine, life cycle tester, vacuum leak tester, Smart scope is highly valued.
Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D technical drawings. Familiar with Creo & GD&T is an advantage.
Knowledge of common manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, die casting, machining, sheet metal).
Detail-oriented with strong organizational & documentation skills.
