Job Description

As a Mechanical Skilled Technician, you will contribute to the manufacturing process by maintaining and operating machines. Using your technical knowledge, you will be responsible for making repairs as well as monitoring the safety and quality of the equipment.

As a Manufacturing Technician, some of your essential duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Operating various types of equipment, including but not limited to, high speed assembly, metal stamping, injection molding, batch blending and/or packaging equipment.

  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on motors, sensors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.

  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical/electrical devices in operation; using human sensing & precision instruments.
  • Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using various techniques.

  • Maintain safe and clean working environment.

  • Responsible for safety, quality, and production.

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • 18 years of age or older

  • 1 year of specialized technical training, or equivalent work experience

  • The ability to handle product and components up to 90% of the shift for performing quality inspections.

  • Possess the physical stamina to walk, stand, stoop, or bend up to 100% of shift.

  • Must be able to communicate with leadership, mechanics and co-workers for safety, quality, and production concerns.

  • Must be able to use required inspection gauges and computer.

  • Must be able to read and write as well as have a basic knowledge of mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) in order to complete required reports.

  • Must possess the analytical ability to understand safety hazards.

  • Must be able to manually lift with both hands up to 50Ibs. from floor level to waist level or vice-versa at least 3 times per shift.

  • Must be able to tolerate heights and extreme temperatures if working outside.

Must be able to tolerate limited exposure to certain chemicals (Silicone, cleaning solutions, lubrication, etc.)
