Were seeking a Mechanical Services Engineer / Coordinator to support the successful delivery of mechanical building services on high-performance infrastructure projects. This role is critical to the coordination, installation, integration, and commissioning of mechanical systems particularly HVAC and Building Management Systems (BMS).
Working site-side, you will liaise with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services in a technically complex environment.
Mechanical Services Coordination
Coordinate mechanical trades and plant, including HVAC, chilled water systems, CRAC/CRAH units.
Interface with electrical, fire, and hydraulic services for integrated delivery.
Support development and management of installation schedules and sequencing plans.
BMS & Controls Integration
Coordinate installation and commissioning of BMS and mechanical controls.
Review control strategies to ensure alignment with project performance requirements.
Support verification of functionality point-to-point checks, graphics, alarms, and trending.
Construction Oversight
Oversee on-site works to ensure compliance with design and quality benchmarks.
Attend site walks and coordination meetings; assist in issue resolution.
Track progress against key milestones and deadlines.
Testing & Commissioning Support
Assist in planning and execution of mechanical system commissioning.
Collaborate with consultants and contractors to confirm performance requirements.
Manage test records, compliance documentation, and commissioning outcomes.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain up-to-date records, RFIs, and construction documentation.
Contribute to the review of O&M manuals and as-built deliverables.
Prepare mechanical services status reports and contribute to risk planning.
Degree or trade qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline.
37 years experience in mechanical coordination or engineering roles.
Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, chilled water, CRAC/CRAH, and plant operations.
Experience with BMS systems integration and controls.
Familiarity with mission-critical environments and high-reliability systems (e.g., N+1, 2N).
Proficient in interpreting design drawings and managing onsite delivery.
Collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset in dynamic project settings.
Experience on data centre, healthcare, or other critical infrastructure projects.
Understanding of Tier III/IV system design and operational requirements.
Exposure to commissioning software platforms (e.g., CXAlloy).
Knowledge of prefabricated and modular mechanical delivery methods.
