The Sr. Mechanical Project Leader act as a sub project leader in the development of an OEM project, and it is the point of contact from OEM on technical domain mainly on mechanical development and leader of a cross functional team.

Sr. Mechanical Project Leader is responsible to coordinate all project component related tasks and activities from start of development until end-of-production. Manage the communication between internal/external stakeholders. Capable of leading projects of medium to high complexity.

Responsible to maintain high level of quality, assigned budget monitoring and controlling, and timeline according project requirements and business needs, assuring safe launch and coordination, through technical Risk Management activities.

Qualifications

The main qualifications of the Sr. Mechanical Project Leader I are:

  • Development and implementation of defined technical content according to project targets
  • Lead cross-functional development teams and controls all mechanical engineering activities
  • Drive internal development teams and external supplier to integrate their schedule and deliverables into the steering system development, ensuring that the work packages are processed according to the given quality processes and approval gates
  • Risk management within discipline scope and support of PjM on identification, mitigation and assessment activities
  • Project planning and tracking within discipline scope, cross-functional aligned between the other disciplines such as Hardware, Software, and, System engineering.
  • Implementation of the technical requirements in the project according to specification, plan, defined processes and regulations
  • Evaluation and planning of technical requirements and estimation of effort within project scope
  • Tracking of estimated project effort / budget
  • Consulting of OEM on technical discussions within project scope, negotiate deviations and obtain OEM approval
  • Communicate Project Status Report to the projects team and to the top management in regular basis
  • Support of PjM in the management of technical issues within project scope, responsible for technical problem solving, and experienced on root cause analysis methodologies
  • Preparation of releases within the project scope, such as validation and verification activities, testing management, and quality gate releases.
  • Responsible for the creation & release of the Bill of Material (BOM), work products planning, effort estimation, execution and delivery
  • Provide and manage Technical data container and parameters sheets on-time for series production readiness of steering systems product with the correct data and parameters for manufacturing production
  • Responsible for the creation & release of the D-FMEA
  • Assuring teams expected performance and conflict management ability
