Inside the Role

Designs and develops mechanical products, components, or systems including applying mechanical engineering principles to develop products, components, and systems that involve movement (e.g., engines, vehicles, robots, prosthetic devices, energy conversion systems, machinery, etc.). Supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype mechanical products and assemblies. Collaborates with marketing and industrial design teams to develop products that meet technical/functional specifications as well as manufacturing cost/efficiency requirements. May also be involved with designing product specific manufacturing production processes and equipment

This position is on the Vehicle Frameworks - Tanks Team where we support DTNA Engineering’s goal to engineer the best damn trucks by;

  • Leading the development of best-in-class Air, DEF, and Fuel Tanks
  • Right sizing the portfolio based on market needs
  • Continuously driving cost improvement
  • Mentoring and teaching other engineers

We work across all DTNA models.

As a senior member of this team, you will drive success in the above areas. You will lead your colleagues and help them achieve great things.

What You Drive at DTNA

  • DTNA market leadership through innovative design of mid-chassis mounted tanks.
  • Complexity and cost optimization
  • Team performance through demonstrated technical and cultural leadership.
  • Collaboration with Product Strategy, PVE, VLE, Product Engineering teams, and other key business partners.

Knowledge you Should Bring

  • A demonstrated history of driving excellence in execution
  • Understanding of DTNA Engineering applications and processes
  • A Bachelors (or higher) degree in engineering (mechanical preferred)
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Creating effective and persuasive presentations

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • Experience designing mid-chassis components
  • Familiarity with PAR Processes
  • Experience leading small teams
