Title: Plant Engineering – Mechanical Engineer

Location: Onsite in Mentor, Ohio

Plant Engineering is responsible for designing, maintaining, improving, and supporting the equipment, manufacturing processes, and plant-wide infrastructure. As a Plant Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and executing projects across manufacturing facilities in the Cleveland Mentor areas. Your focus will be on identifying and solving technical challenges while ensuring that all equipment and processes align with the organization’s safety, health, quality, and productivity standards. Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years’ experience
• Technically proficient In CAD modeling (Solid Edge or AutoCAD preferred)
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Strong desire to take ownership of tasks and deliverables
• Demonstrates good judgement, self-motivation, and commitment to safety
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and meet deadlines
• Flexibility to handle diverse assignments and adapt to changing priorities Ability to perform hands-on work when needed and work collaboratively on the shop floor with employees and processes
• Willingness to occasionally work off shifts, travel between NEO facilities, and travel as required

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a team environment to execute capital projects for manufacturing facilities in the Cleveland Mentor areas
• Take responsibility for the mechanical aspects of projects, which may include design, documentation, equipment installation, project management, and support
• Develop engineering solutions to improve equipment reliability and safety, reduce operation and maintenance costs, and effectively manage outage risks
• Create and maintain sustainable documentation for use by engineering and maintenance teams
• Design solutions that comply with ISO 14001 and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives to enhance environmental and employee health and safety standards
• Provide capital cost estimates and establish project timelines to ensure successful completion of project work
• Specify and solicit equipment quotations to confirm compliance with desired specifications
• Deliver technical support to the Production and Maintenance departments
• Coordinate and interface with process engineers, production, maintenance, and supply management teams
• Work closely with and often manage outside engineering and construction personnel
• Ensure all EHS and compliance requirements adhere to the appropriate regulations
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by managers with the Plant Engineering Department
