This role works closely with project management, quality teams, subcontractors, and field personnel to support successful project execution, system testing, and project turnover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect piping installations, joints, supports, and routing to verify compliance with project drawings, specifications, and applicable mechanical and plumbing codes.

  • Track punch-list items and verify completion of corrective actions prior to mechanical scope turnover.
  • Maintain organized inspection records, technical logs, testing documentation, and project quality files.
  • Support project teams in identifying and resolving installation issues while maintaining compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Perform additional inspection, reporting, and project support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and plumbing drawings, isometric drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Working knowledge of pipe installation methods, plumbing systems, HVAC systems, and applicable code requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively with contractors, project teams, and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of mechanical/piping inspection, quality control, field engineering, or related construction experience.
  • EIT, ICC Mechanical or Plumbing Inspector Certification, Journeyman Plumber License, or Pipefitter License preferred.
  • Experience supporting commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or large-scale construction projects.

Work Environment
