In the UK, we own, operate and are significantly developing the 370 acre top tier COMAH site Saltend Chemicals Park (SCP.) With a cluster of world-class chemicals and renewable energy businesses, it’s strategically positioned on the UK’s busiest ports complex and at the forefront of our energy transition plans.

The Opportunity

We are now recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Planner

You'll provide proactive maintenance planning, scheduling and co-ordination support to SCP and its customers ensuring asset integrity and reliability is maintained and the maintenance operating plan delivered.

You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete site inspections and determine appropriate job scope details.
  • Develop work scopes for all mechanical inspection and service work orders – including photographs, job steps, facilitation resources, contract services, permit to work applications and outage management.
  • Develop detailed work packs for maintenance tasks with all the information to allow for efficient scheduling, technician assignment and work execution using the Saltend Chemical Park’s Computerised Maintenance Management System (Engica Q4).
  • Analyse mechanical systems and related work activities for estimating required resources, durations, procedures and materials.
  • Create, use and develop equipment history, equipment files and inspection packs in the Computerised Maintenance Management System for future work orders.
  • Analyse completed jobs for opportunities to improve future work and decrease cost and/or duration
  • Develop 12-36 month forecasts for all upcoming work.
  • Submit recommendations to the Mechanical Engineer for ways to improve the technical scope or methodology for mechanical inspection jobs
  • Identify, organise, manage and lead 3rd party contract services as necessary to complete mechanical inspection jobs.
  • Schedule all mechanical inspections and 3rd party services.
  • Drive the weekly schedule and manage people/processes to ensure 100% compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • ONC/equivalent in a mechanical discipline
  • Successful hands-on contributions in a 24/7 industrial environment:

o Planning, recording & communicating maintenance activities in the short/long term – planned, preventative & outages. o Coordinating manpower and maintenance activities during normal & outage periods.o Meeting flexible targets & quality standards.o Compiling reports & inspections. Risk management/assessment for work execution activitieso Positive SHE commitment & contributions Implementing & evaluating improvements & mods. o Building & maintaining customer & contractor relationships. o Supervision of personnel including workload planning & co-ordination
