Eramine Sudamérica SA is a subsidiary of Eramet, a French global mining and metallurgical group. It is located in the Salar Centenario Ratones, 3,800 meters above sea level, in the department of Los Andes, in Salta, Argentina.

Exploration activities started 12 years ago and at the end of 2019 our pilot plant started operating, providing a demonstration of the quality of the final lithium carbonate product, with more than 90% direct extraction efficiency.

MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE LEADER M/F

Identify and implement improvement opportunities in asset lifecycle management by defining different maintenance strategies and other initiatives, applying Asset Management methodologies.

• This position reports to: Maintenance Manager
• Location: Salar Centenario – Ratones, Salta, Argentina.

Responsibilities:

• Define methodologies and criteria for continuous improvement of asset performance during engineering, specification, commissioning, and start-up stages.
• Provide information related to asset behavior.
• Propose renewal projects for assets according to their performance, including Acquisition, Replacement, and End-of-Life Disposal.
• Contribute to asset renewal with technical and economic efficiency.
• Prepare reports and analyses on new maintenance strategies, studies, and technological advancements.
• Provide a strategic perspective on Asset Management during project stages.
• Develop and control KPI management indicators.
• Propose, coordinate, and evaluate implementation plans for new projects and continuous improvement of related systems.
• Perform problem analysis and resolution, construction documentation, and application of standards.
• Monitor and control the execution of modifications and projects within the Mechanical area.
  

Your Profile:

Knowledge:

• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience with Asset Management Tools.
• Knowledge of welding/joint techniques for carbon steel, stainless steel, CPVC, FRP, HDPE piping, etc.
• Experience with Asset Management Tools.
• Basic/intermediate level of English.
• Basic/intermediate SAP PM.
• Office Suite proficiency.
• CAD tools.
• Knowledge of and commitment to safety standards.
• Category E driver’s license.
• Predictive Maintenance Techniques certification is desirable.
• Desirable knowledge of PAS 55, ISO 55000, ISO 31000.
  

Experience and Requirements:

• Previous experience (>5 years) in Maintenance, Engineering, or related areas.
• Experience in mining, chemical, or mineral processing industries (lithium experience is desirable).
