Job Description

Our client is a family-owned company and leading FMCG manufacturer based in the Suffolk area.

Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and install agricultural machinery, systems, and vehicles across multiple sites, with a mix of workshop and on-site work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair tractors, trailers, and cutting machinery
  • Install and maintain feeders, drinkers, heaters, water/gas lines
  • Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical faults (230v/415v & vehicle electrics)
  • Perform light plumbing and electrical work
  • Respond to breakdowns and support system installs
  • Assist the Agricultural Maintenance Manager as needed

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Mechanical engineering background (BTEC Level 3 or equivalent)
  • City & Guilds 3905 or similar in vehicle mechanics
  • Hands-on experience with agricultural machinery
  • Basic plumbing and electrical skills
  • Strong problem-solving and self-motivation

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in agriculture, plant, or service maintenance
  • Able to stay calm under pressure and juggle varied tasks
  • Good communication and independent working
