Job Description

Contract Duration: 12 Months (Extendable)

Employment Type: Contract / Expat Assignment

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Lead Process Area to support a major international offshore energy construction and commissioning project in South Korea. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating and leading mechanical commissioning activities within the process area, ensuring safe and efficient execution of commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate mechanical commissioning activities for process systems.
  • Supervise commissioning teams and contractors during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up phases.
  • Ensure compliance with project procedures, operational requirements, and HSE standards.
  • Interface with multidisciplinary teams including Operations, Process, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Construction.
  • Review commissioning documentation, procedures, test packs, and punch lists.
  • Support system handover activities and operational readiness processes.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues during commissioning and start-up.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Mechanical Commissioning within Oil & Gas, LNG, FLNG, Petrochemical, or Energy projects.
  • Proven experience in a Lead or Supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of commissioning and start-up methodologies.
  • Previous offshore commissioning and start-up experience.
  • Experience working on large-scale EPC projects.
  • Previous FLNG project experience is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Willingness to travel and support activities at other project locations when required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in LNG/FLNG facilities.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
