The Mechanical Installation Technician is responsible for the hands-on execution of mechanical installation works across critical infrastructure systems. Reporting to the Installation Supervisor, this role focuses on the physical installation, assembly, alignment, and completion of mechanical systems, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Execute installation of mechanical plant and equipment including pumps, tanks, pipework, valves, and supports
• Perform alignment, bolting, torquing, and securing of mechanical components.
• Install pipework systems and associated instrumentation assemblies.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and monitor workmanship quality.
• Complete installation checklists and prepare systems for inspection and handover.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.

Skills Required:

• Strong practical knowledge of mechanical installation techniques.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good problem-solving and coordination skills.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and quality standards.

Education / Licenses / Certifications:

• QQI Level 6 Advanced Trade Certificate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant safety certifications and training required.
• Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
